Program Director & Coach

Don Alto brings world-class experience and a dynamic energy to Rally House as our Program Director. A former U.S. Table Tennis team member and elite international competitor, Don knows what it takes to excel at the highest levels of sport. After transitioning to pickleball, he quickly rose through the ranks, earning a DUPR 5.5+ rating and competing in APP and PPA Men’s Pro divisions.

Don designs and manages all Rally House programming—including clinics, leagues, live ball sessions, open play formats, and coach training. He’s passionate about building a vibrant community, creating opportunities for every level of player to grow, and delivering fresh, exciting formats that keep the game fun, social, and competitive.

Whether you’re picking up a paddle for the first time or training for your next tournament, Don’s vision and leadership are shaping Rally House into the place to play in North County.

Adam is a recognized and respected player in the local pickleball community, competing at the highest levels while bringing an incredible passion for teaching players of all skill levels.

Known for his calm, methodical, and highly insightful coaching style, Adam has a unique ability to break the game down in a way that helps every player improve with confidence. His passion for the sport is contagious, and players consistently leave his clinics feeling more confident, motivated, and excited about their game.

Hank found pickleball through social play, but what started as casually playing the game quickly turned into a full-blown passion. With his incredible energy and natural ability to connect with people, Hank has become a favorite at Rally House in no time. He works with beginners through strong intermediate players, focusing on rock-solid fundamentals, smart shot selection, and high-percentage strategy that builds real confidence on the court. Just as important, Hank emphasizes mindset — helping players stay composed, competitive, and resilient. His favorite part of coaching? Watching players level up, believe in themselves, and genuinely love the game.

Chandra McAtee

Chandra McAtee

Chandra McAtee brings over 20 years of coaching experience and a 4.0+ competitive rating to Rally House, delivering high-level instruction with contagious energy and a supportive, empowering style. She leads our junior programs and is the Founder & CEO of Superatio, a nonprofit dedicated to using pickleball to teach resilience and life skills to at-risk youth through structured clinics and leagues. Chandra also works with beginner and intermediate adults, focusing on fundamentals, strategy, and confidence-building in a fun, encouraging environment. For her, pickleball is more than a game — it’s a platform for growth, resilience, and connection.

Patrick Gannon

Patrick Gannon

Patrick retired after 20 years in the United States Coast Guard, dedicated to leadership, instruction, and helping others succeed. As an Operations Specialist Instructor during his final tour, he trained new service members in communication, teamwork, discipline, and the skills needed to perform under pressure.

Today, Patrick brings that same coaching mindset to the pickleball court. Having trained under a respected 5.0-level player, he emphasizes strong fundamentals, smart decision-making, and building confidence through structured, encouraging instruction.

Whether you’re new to pickleball or looking to take your game to the next level, Patrick is committed to creating a fun, welcoming environment where every player can learn, improve, and enjoy the game.

Mariel DeYoung

Mariel DeYoung

Mariel DeYoung is a former professional tennis player, a two-time All-American at the University of Georgia, and a five-time national champion. She helped coach Georgia Tech’s women’s tennis team to its first NCAA National Championship. Now a pickleball and performance coach, Mariel brings elite-level experience, strategy, and a passion for helping players of all ages build stronger fundamentals, confidence, and competitive skills.

When she’s not coaching, she spends time with her two daughters and stays active, playing tennis, working out, and cooking.

Giselle brings enthusiasm, positivity, and a genuine love for the game to every lesson she teaches. Her coaching style is patient, encouraging, and focused on helping players build confidence while developing solid fundamentals.

When she’s not coaching at Rally House, you’ll usually find her competing, creating pickleball content, or following the professional game through MLP and PPA events. Her passion for pickleball is contagious, and she loves sharing that excitement with every player who steps onto the court.

Kimmy Jennings

Kimmy Jennings

Coach

Kimmy Jennings is a competitive 4.5+ player who competes in both Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) and national tournaments in women’s and mixed doubles. Known for her positive energy and detail-oriented coaching style, Kimmy helps players build confidence, consistency, and trust in their game. She focuses on strong fundamentals and smart strategy—teaching players how to control the pace of a point, dominate at the kitchen, and finish rallies with purpose.

Preston Lynch is a standout collegiate player and captain of the San Diego State University Pickleball Team, currently ranked Top 20 nationally in collegiate competition and an emerging pro out of Orange County. With over five years of competitive experience, Preston brings high-level skill, energy, and a contagious enthusiasm to every session. Known for his positive, upbeat coaching style, he works with players of all levels through private lessons and clinics, focusing on strong fundamentals, smart strategy, and building confidence on the court. Preston’s passion for the game is obvious — and it shows in the way his players improve, compete, and have fun.
